Industrial Embedded Computer: With air travel becoming more and more prevalent in today’s times, the skies have become the new traveling highway. And with all the extra traffic, consistent communication and visual is very critical in managing and controlling the traffic in the air. The JetBox 9310 is a global pioneer to invent 6 in 1 Industrial Ethernet Switch Networking Computer which consolidates Industrial Computer, Router, PoE and Industrial Managed Ethernet Switch. In addition, it equipped with the interfaces of serial server and Ethernet I/O is making the network simple.
Recently, in Soldotna Alaska, the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) required the need for improving sky visibility at the weather and RF tower station. The FAA required a live video feed of this location via the Internet, from a remote office. This enabled their personnel to view that particular area and efficiently instruct all air traffic of the current conditions.
The project was led by Tom Hayes, Sr. Systems Engineer, Lockheed Martin. He needed a solution to interconnect Mobotix M22 IP Cameras, and feed the data over the Internet. Also, it needed to with stand the cold harsh weather without causing any failure. His solution was the JetBox 9310. The JetBox 9310 had the features that Tom Hayes needed for the project. “I need a device that could support my IP Cameras and route the critical data over the Internet” he stated, “Because the JetBox 9310 is an Industrial Ethernet switch grade device, I had no worries of it surviving the environment, but what impressed me the most were all the combined features in one intelligent unit.”
